About Carol Neal-Chicago
About the Artist
My interest in the Visual Arts began early in life and this fueled my journey for artistic perfection. I used drawing and painting to express what surrounded me in the world. I have formal art training from The Art Institute of Chicago and I graduated from The Ohio State University in Art Education.
I have always loved photography and received a BA degree from Columbia College of Chicago in Photography. As another medium of expression, I realized the close relationship between a photograph and a painting and was intrigued with the camera's ability to capture and freeze moments of time. This gave me a new avenue of expression; to photograph the world and then paint it.
I have had solo and group exhibits and have won awards in photographs. I appreciate the opportunity the camera offers me, to see life, and to use my personal interpretation and skills to put that experience on canvas.
