This painting was a metamorphosis of colors and shapes. I did not start with any plan, but it grew as I painted it into this interrelationship of colors and shapes.
My interest in the Visual Arts began in early childhood, fueled by the awards and encouragement I received from teachers and others close to me. It was my kindergarten teacher who first noticed the attention to detail that I put into my drawings. This encouragement sparked my desire for educational pursuits of drawing and painting at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, and from The Ohio State University at Columbus where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art Eduction. I taught art in the Chicago Public School system where I inspired talented young students to pursue their ambitions.
