Mother and child is the result of a request from a friend. The theme and subject was dictated by the event for which it would be displayed. It gave me great joy in the creation of this work and pleasure that so many people enjoyed it also.
My interest in the Visual Arts began in early childhood, fueled by the awards and encouragement I received from teachers and others close to me. It was my kindergarten teacher who first noticed the attention to detail that I put into my drawings. This encouragement sparked my desire for educational pursuits of drawing and painting at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, and from The Ohio State University at Columbus where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art Eduction. I taught art in the Chicago Public School system where I inspired talented young students to pursue their ambitions.
