Artist's Description
This is a photograph I captured with only the lights of the background skyline and the beacon lights of the train. The negative was at first a disappointment to me because of such minimal detail, but when I printed it, the blackness of the night makes one's imagination wonder, just what is in the blackness.
About Carol Neal-Chicago
My interest in the Visual Arts began in early childhood, fueled by the awards and encouragement I received from teachers and others close to me. It was my kindergarten teacher who first noticed the attention to detail that I put into my drawings. This encouragement sparked my desire for educational pursuits of drawing and painting at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, and from The Ohio State University at Columbus where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art Eduction. I taught art in the Chicago Public School system where I inspired talented young students to pursue their ambitions.
